VMS Live’s Steve Forster Dies Following Motor Vehicle Accident

HULL, UK (CelebrityAccess) — UK promoter and venue management company VMS Live revealed that company founder and Managing Director Steve Forster died on April 19th from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

According to a statement from VMS, Forster was involved in an accident on March 30th while returning from watching a Leeds United football match.

“Steve sustained a number of serious injuries which were treated in Sheffield after which he was transferred to Royal Surrey Hospital but following complications, Steve passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19th, 2019,” VMS said.

Forster launched VMS Live in 2007 and the company offers programming, venue development, management, promotional and operational, as well as developing and promoting their own brands, including, Innercity Live and more than 750 concerts annually as VMS Live presents. VMS Live also owns and manages The Welly, Welly 2 and The Polar Bear venues in Hull as well as Hull Box Office.

“Whether you knew Steve from his early days in Newcastle or through the many venues and events he worked with we are sure you will agree that he was a focussed and determined operator, a man who knew his own mind, and overall a truly unique and talented individual,” A spokesman for VMS Live said.

“Steve was respected and influential throughout the industry and has passed on a great deal of knowledge and experience to those around him and for this legacy, we can all be eternally grateful,” the statement added.

Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
