Superstruct Entertainment Acquires Global Festival LTD’s Festival Portfolio

LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — James Barton’s private equity-backed Superstruct Entertainment has acquired a portfolio of music festivals from event producer Global Festival Ltd.

The deal includes Victorious Festival, South West Four, Kendal Calling, Truck, Tramlines and Boardmasters in the UK, as well as the Croatian Hideout Festival.

The deal did not include other Global festivals, including Snowbombing, Field Day, Festival No.6., MusicWeek reported.

“This acquisition further demonstrates that Superstruct is committed to building a strong portfolio of live entertainment brands. We look forward to supporting the different festivals in their growth in their respective markets,” said Superstruct’s James Barton.

The deal expands Superstruct’s portfolio of festivals in EU, including Hungary’s Sziget, Finland’s Flow Festival, the Sónar festival in Barcelona, the Øya Festival in Norway, and Spanish EDM promoter Elrow.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but as IQ-Magazine reported, Superstruct Entertainment Ltd became an entity with “significant control” of Global Festivals Ltd on 4 April, indicating Superstruct has greater than 75% stake in the company.
