Ultra Music Fest Survives First-Night ‘Fyre Festival’ Comparisons

MIAMI (CelebrityAccess) The Ultra Music Festival, which moved from its normal locals for decades in Miami to the island of Virginia Key nearby, had some logistical problems its first night but has apparently resolved them.

The problems weren’t slight. The island is accessible from won bridge and apparently, a logistical nightmare caused more than 50,000 concertgoers to wait hours for shuttle buses to take them to the island. Video showed people walking or running across the Rickenbacker Causeway back to Miami instead of waiting for buses, according to the New York Post.

The festival had prepared 200 buses but apparently, the system was still considered “haphazard.”

“Last night, many of you experienced challenging transportation conditions leaving the festival. This is unacceptable and inconsistent with the high standards you have come to expect from us. For this, we are sorry,” they said. “As you might expect, we have already been working cooperatively with our city and county partners to promptly address and resolve these issues.”

The second night reportedly ended with a more ordered approach, according to the Miami Herald.
