Ryan Adams’s UK Tour Appears To Be On Track, But Some Fans Want Refunds

DUBLIN (CelebrityAccess) — Embattled singer-songwriter Ryan Adams’s upcoming tour of the UK and Ireland appears to be still on the books, even as he faces scrutiny in the U.S. over alleged sexual misconduct, including with a minor.

Adams is set to embark on a 10-date tour on March 30th, starting with a pair of shows at Olympia Theater in Dublin. While that show appears to be sold out, tickets for his other shows are still on sale via sites such as Ticketmaster and Bandsintown.

According to the BBC, some fans who, in the wake of reports about Adams’ alleged misconduct, decided they didn’t’ want to attend his concerts, found that their requests for refunds were being ignored.

One fan, Emma Buff, told the BBC she spent £50 on tickets to see Adams perform in April but has been unsuccessful in obtaining a refund.

“Reading the allegations upset me quite a lot and I decided I didn’t want any of my money to go to Ryan Adams in the future,” she told the BBC.

“I’ve tried to get a refund on the ticket [and] I’ve yet to hear anything back” she added.

New York Times European culture journalist Alex Marshall reported to the BBC that he’s had little response from ticketing companies regarding refunds.

“I’ve tried to speak to the ticketing companies,” he said. “I’ve tried to speak to the venues and the promoter and I’ve had very little response back.

“That’s leaving people in the dark about what’s going on,” Marshall added.
