Logjam’s Newest Venue The ELM To Open In Bozeman In 2020

BOZEMAN, MT (CelebrityAccess) — Logjam Presents announced that their new concert venue in the works for Bozeman will be named The Elm.

Work on the new 1,500-capacity venue, which will be located at 506 Seventh Ave in downtown Bozeman, is expected to start as early as this week and is expected to open in January 2019.

While Logjam owns the Top Hat Lounge, the Wilma, and the KettleHouse Amphitheater in Missoula, the ELM will be the first of the company’s venues built from the ground up.

A webpage for the new venue shows a contemporary design that relies on concrete, steel and wood paneling to give it a distinctive appearance.

Checota told the Billings Gazette that they visited venues around the U.S. for inspiration for design elements and features of the new venue and he noted that they paid particular attention to acoustics, sightlines, crowd flow and production for the ELM.

“We think the architecture influences the experience of the concert-goer, where you go see a show should be part of the experience,” Checota told the Gazette.

As for the origin of the venue’s name, Checota told the Gazette that the name ELM is a reference to the three children he has with his wife Robin.
