Lady Gaga And Bradley Cooper Are Not In Love (It’s Just A Silly Phase)

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Lady Gaga’s and Bradley Cooper’s performance of the song “Shallow” at the Academy Awards have sparked (or manufactured) rumors that the two may be romantically tied, but Gaga laughed them off last night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

The performance of the Oscar-nominated (soon to be Oscar-winning) song from “A Star Is Born” was an intimate affair, with the two performers sitting at a piano, ignoring the audience and millions of viewers, to cozy up and look into each other’s eyes as if they were in a living room alone. It was a romantic moment, which led to talks about actual romance.

“That performance you and Bradley gave was really one of the great performances in the history of the Oscars,” Kimmel told her. “We were watching it at home and we were like ‘What’s going on between these two?’”

“First of all,” Gaga answered, “social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet. … What it has done to pop culture is abysmal.”

“People felt love and guess what, that’s what we wanted them to see,” she added. “This is a love song “Shallow.” The movie, “A Star is Born,” is a love story. We worked so hard. We worked all week on that performance.

“From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time. Look, I’ve had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world. When you’re singing love songs that’s what you want people to feel.”

Kimmel jokingly asked if she had an affair with Bennett, to which Gaga responded in the negative.

“I’m an artist and I guess we did a good job,” she said. “Fooled ya!”
