Karen Harding Signs Global Deal With Ultra Music

LONDON (CelebrityAccess) – Leading global dance music label Ultra Music has today (Feb. 28) announced the signing of Karen Harding.

Harding, who is already one of the most sought-after talents in dance music today, boasts over 160 million combined Spotify streams and some 1.6 million monthly listeners. The deal, which will see Harding releasing music worldwide, is being handled by Ultra’s UK team.

Harding has co-written, sung and collaborated on major performing tracks from the likes of Wilkinson, Giorgio Moroder, Tujamo, Example, Le Youth and Purple Disco Machine, among others. On top of her own releases and features, she has also co-written recent releases for new Virgin EMI U.K. signing RIKA, Alex Newell, Felix Jaehn, Claire Richards and The Magician.

Commenting on the deal, Founder/President of Ultra Records Patrick Moxey, said in a statement: “With her exceptional voice, presence and inspiration in her soulfulness, we welcome Karen Harding to Ultra Records worldwide via our UK team. Karen has major talent as a singer and writer. She brings out the best with all her musical collaborations. We envision her as a major force on our UK dance roster taking her around the globe via our London office on A&R, marketing and branding fronts.”

Furthermore, Harding has also signed a deal with CAA for live representation. Billy Wood and Chris Ibbs of the agency said: “We couldn’t be more excited to be working with Karen at this exciting point in her career. We look forward to working with Simon, Denise and all the team at Ultra in building Karen’s live career into the worldwide superstar she deserves to be.”

Harding is set to make her Ultra Music debut in March.

Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
