Frank Zappa’s Hologram Addresses Censorship

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — The producers for the Frank Zappa hologram tour used a purported “Questionable Content” Violation From Ticketmaster over artwork used in tour advertising to their advantage.

The hologram team issued a video with a digital representation of Zappa repeating the late musician’s 1984 statement on censorship: “I’m a person who likes to do what he wants to do…whether people like it or not and what I do is designed for people who like it, not for people who don’t.”

The controversy was sparked by tour artwork, which included an image of a penguin in bondage gear preparing to paddle the bared buttocks of another similarly attired penguin — a reference to the 1974 & Zappa the Mothers’ song “Penguin in Bondage.”

According to the show’s producers, the artwork was censored by Ticketmaster, who cited the image for so-called “questionable content,” according to their Content Governance team, and wouldn’t post it online.

An updated version of the promotional artwork was created by your organizers Eyellusion and the Zappa Family Trust with the Penguin’s bare bottom covered up by a “Warning Guarantee” Zappa devised in the mid-1980s to voluntarily place on his music after appearing before Congress on September 19, 1985, to discuss censorship.

The nine-date “The Bizarre World Of Frank Zappa” tour kicks off on April 19th at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York and then heads across the pond for additional shows in the Uk and Europe.

MGM Official Notes In Copperfield Trial Report Of Accident Includes No Witness Statements

LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) Risk manager for the MGM Grand Hotel Mark Habersack recently testified in the trial against David Copperfield, who is being sued by a British tourist who claims he was injured during one of Copperfield’s tricks, that he does not know why an incident report on the accident did not include accounts from witnesses. Gavin Cox claims that, during a November 2013 Copperfield performance at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, he fell backstage and was rushed to the hospital, eventually costing him $400,000 in medical bills. Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
