Alabama Presented With A Lifetime Entertainment Achievement Award By The T.J. Martell Foundation

NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Country and southern rock legends Alabama were honored with a Lifetime Entertainment Achievement Award by the T.J. Martell Foundation during the Foundation’s 11th Annual Nashville Honors Gala in Nashville on Monday.

The tribute to the band featured country music performer Brad Paisley, who performed a medley of some of Alabama’s hits including, “My Home’s in Alabama,” “Dixieland Delight,” and “Mountain Music.”

Charlie Daniels was on hand as well and presented the award to the members of the group. Additional honorees for the evening included Kings of Leon, Sally Williams, Dr. Kathryn Edwards and Sylvia and Al Ganier.

“We have been fortunate to have won over 280 industry awards in our 50 years of recording and touring, but the Tony Martell Lifetime Entertainment Achievement Award may be the most special award we have ever gotten,” says Owen. “Anything we as a group can do to help find a cure for cancer is very important to me, Teddy and Jeff. We appreciate the Nashville music industry, Brad Paisley and Charlie Daniels for making our night extra special.”

The evening’s festivities, which took place at the Omni Hotel, raised nearly half a million dollars for the T.J. Martell Foundation and its mission to fund medical research focused on finding treatments and cures for cancer.

The Nashville Honors Gala is one of the T.J. Martell Foundation’s key events and pays tribute to community leaders and presents special musical performances and presentations for the evening’s honorees.

MGM Official Notes In Copperfield Trial Report Of Accident Includes No Witness Statements

LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) Risk manager for the MGM Grand Hotel Mark Habersack recently testified in the trial against David Copperfield, who is being sued by a British tourist who claims he was injured during one of Copperfield’s tricks, that he does not know why an incident report on the accident did not include accounts from witnesses. Gavin Cox claims that, during a November 2013 Copperfield performance at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, he fell backstage and was rushed to the hospital, eventually costing him $400,000 in medical bills. Cox was one of 13 audience members who performed in a trick called “13” where he and 12 others disappear from the stage and reappear in the back of the audience. The volunteers were hurried through indoor hallways and an outdoor alleyway to make the reappearance. Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
