The CMA To Bring Country Music Showcase To Japan

TOKYO (CelebrityAccess) — Continuing its bid to help bring American-style country music to international audiences, the Country Music Association announced that it is taking its artist-focused touring series, Introducing Nashville, to Japan.

The shows, which are set for March 30th at the Blue Note in Tokyo, feature performances by Brandy Clark, Devin Dawson and Lindsay Ell.

CMA will host an industry event at the U.S. Ambassador’s residence in Tokyo, with Deputy Chief of Mission Joseph Young on hand to welcome both reps from the CMA and Japanese industry representatives from all sectors in the business.

The reception will feature performances by Frankie Ballard, in addition to Clark, Dawson, and Ell.

The CMA is also bringing their road show to Australia and New Zealand, with a spate of performances scheduled across the market.

The schedule of performances includes:

March 18 – Lismore, Australia – Lismore City Hall
March 19 – Brisbane, Australia – The Old Museum
March 21 – Sydney, Australia – The Factory Theatre
March 22 – Canberra, Australia – The Abbey
March 23 – Melbourne, Australia – Athenaeum Theatre
March 26 – Auckland, New Zealand – Tuning Fork

Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
