Texas TV Station Cancels News Broadcasts After Director Dies On Job

AMARILLO, Texas (CelebrityAccess) A local ABC affiliate in Amarillo, Texas, canceled its newscast Tuesday after director Malcolm Montgomery died early Tuesday morning while hew was preparing for the morning broadcast.

Cause of death of the 27-year old Montgomery was not disclosed but he died “Doing what he most loved – serving our viewers by putting together the best morning news show he could,” the station said.

KVII chief meteorologist Steve Kersh said the channel canceled its morning and midday newscasts following Montgomery’s death.

“We had a lot of phone calls and email[s] asking why ‘Daybreak’ wasn’t on this morning, and also why we didn’t have a midday show and that’s the reason why,” Kersh said. “As you can imagine, our crew is pretty traumatized by what happened here and our prayers are certainly with Malcolm’s family.”

Montgomery joined the station a few months ago; KVII said h e had a big impact on the station since his arrival.

Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
