Handwritten Letter From Former AC/DC Frontman Bon Scott Headed To Auction

LOS ANGELES, CA (CelebrityAccess) – A letter handwritten by late AC/DC singer Bon Scott, who fronted the band from 1974 to 1980, is headed to auction.

The note, which was written in 1978 during a tour stop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and addressed to Scott’s sister Valerie, is set to start at a $6,000 bid and will be sold January 31st via Nate D. Sanders Auctions in Los Angeles, California.

In the letter, Scott details the Australian band’s whirlwind run including a performance on the TV show The Midnight Special, the recording of their live LP If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It), his own financial troubles, as well as mental health issues within the group. The singer also apologizes for not writing and phoning home more often, admitting that he is often too drunk or hungover to do so.

But, despite any hardships, Scott goes on to say: “I’m not complaining cause there’s always good times & we’re selling lots of records & making people happy so it can’t be all that bad.”

Additional information about the letter is available at the Nate D. Sanders website.
