Atlanta-Area Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre Renamed Ameris Bank Amphitheatre

ALPHARETTA, Ga. (CelebrityAccess) Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre near Atlanta has a new naming sponsor and a new name for the first time since it opened in 2008: Ameris Bank Amphitheatre.

The bank has signed a multi-year agreement with venue operator Live Nation. Ameris Bank is headquartered in Moultrie  Ga.

“The Ameris Bank Amphitheatre underscores Ameris Bank’s commitment to supporting the arts through music, which fosters creativity, strengthens local economies and unifies communities,” Live Nation said in a statement.

“We are excited to sponsor the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, an iconic Atlanta outdoor music venue that promises concertgoers the absolute best music scene, season after season,” said Ameris Bank CEO Dennis Zember. “As an avid concertgoer myself, I’m thrilled for Ameris Bank to have this opportunity and for our city to continue benefiting from this great venue for years to come.”

Recent performances at the 12,000-capacity venue include DAve Matthews Band, Jimmy Buffett, Luke Bryan, Steely Dan and Chris Stapleton

Spotify To Remove India’s Saregama Catalog Amid Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

INDIA (CelebrityAccess) – Global music streaming giant Spotify has agreed to remove all works belonging to India’s oldest record label, Saregama, from its platform within the next 10 days. The decision follows a copyright infringement suit against Spotify brought by Saregama and heard by Delhi’s High Court. In the lawsuit, which is available for viewing here , Saregama claims that, although it entered into negotiations with Spotify for a copyright license and permitted Spotify to upload its content a month ahead of the platform’s launch in India, the two parties never actually finalized their deal. Subsequently, Saregama, alleges that it requested Spotify block all of its work on the app, however, the streaming platform had not complied until now.
