Spotify Partners With Google Home To Give Away Smart Speakers With Premium Family Plans

(CelebrityAccess) – Spotify has today (Oct. 31) announced that it is partnering with Google Home to give its U.S. subscribers with Premium for Family plans free Google Home Mini devices.

Spotify Premium for Family plan allows households to create personalized Spotify accounts for up to six family members at a rate of $14.99 per month. With the new Google Home partnership, the smart speakers’ Voice Match function will now be able to identify those different users and offer them a personalized listenin experience.

Commenting on the new partnership, Alex Norström, Spotify chief premium business officer, said in a statement: “We’re excited to be partnering with Google Home to bring the magic of voice to our Spotify Premium Family subscribers. After all, what’s more fun than sharing the music you love with the people you love. For Family Plan subscribers, enjoying those moments will only get better. Now anytime their favorite artists comes up, they can simply say ‘Hey Google, turn it up!’

The new promotion is valued at $49 USD and runs through December 31. The device is available to Premium for Family plan master account holders in the U.S. at spotify.com/us/family.

Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
