KF Brooklyn Debuts Upgraded PA, Backline

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Knitting Factory Presents announced the completion of upgrades to the production capabilities of their flagship New York City venue, Knitting Factory Brooklyn on Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg.

The refurb included upgrades to the PA system, with an L’Acoustics main array – featuring ARCS Wide Constant Curvature WST Line Source speakers and SB18m & KS28 subwoofers; Martin XE300 stage monitors and Blackline X118 subwoofers, L’Acoustics and Martin amplifiers. The audio upgrades also included a Sennheiser, Shure and Telefunken microphone package.

The venue’s backline was burnished as well, with new house drums provided by Canopus Drums, including a Yaiba II Series Groove Kit, Hybrid boom cymbal stands, a Hybrid hi-hat stand, a Hybrid snare stand, and a Hybrid drum throne.

Along with the tech upgrades, the Knitting Factory also renovated the club’s bar areas with new decor.

“We are committed to providing the very best equipment possible for our bands and a top-notch listening environment for our patrons,” said venue Production Manager Philip Schloss, adding that “with this re-model and upgrades, Knitting Factory Brooklyn now boasts one of the best and complete sound systems for any similarly-sized venue in New York City.”

“Artists who have loved Knitting Factory Brooklyn for our ambiance and audience will have a new reason to play our venue: the sound system,” added Knitting Factory Brooklyn’s GM Christina Lupinacci. “We’re proud to provide all the incentives we can, and this puts us in the first range of boutique concert venues in the city and the country.”
