Former Feld Execs Launch Touring Motorsports JV

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CelebrityAccess) — Collegiate sports entertainment company Raycom Sports announced that they are partnering with Legacy Motorsports to launch a new joint venture called Raycom-Legacy Content to produce “large scale” touring motorsports events.

Legacy Motorsports was founded by a group of high profile former Feld Entertainment execs that includes former Feld COO Ken Hudgens, Feld Motorsports exec Tim Murray, Feld’s former VP of Touring Eric Cole and Feld’s former VP of Booking Bob Boggess.

In addition to the live events, the deal includes digital and linear content production and distribution, as well as other commercial extensions.

The new JV will also look for licensing opportunities with existing entertainment properties.

“We are thrilled to partner with Raycom Sports and believe their organizational structure and expertise in content development and distribution will be invaluable combined with our team’s experience in the live entertainment space,” said Ken Hudgens, President & CEO of RaycomLegacy Content Company.

“We are excited to explore our next steps and look forward to future announcements,” Hudgens added.

Raycom-Legacy Content Company will be based in Charlotte, N.C.

Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
