Vevo Hires Bryon Schafer as SVP of Research

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – VEVO announced this week that Bryon Schafer has been hired as SVP of Research.

Schafer, who will be based in LA, joins Vevo from Otter Media where he was responsible for advising on a range of product, brand, content, marketing, advertising and industry issues for the company its affiliates. In his new role, he will guide Vevo’s efforts in audience and advertiser research, as well as consumer and artist insights.

Commenting on the news, Schafer said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Vevo. The value proposition is incredibly strong for us as the eminent platform for music video.

“I’m excited to start working with such a talented and passionate team, expanding our insight capabilities and further unlocking value to those we work with and represent.”

Schafer has also held leadership positions at Warner Bros. Television Group and at Hulu.

Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
