Codiscos Extends Publishing Deal With Sunflower Entertainment

COLUMBIA (CelebrityAccess) – One of the oldest and largest labels and publishers in South America, Codiscos, announced this week that it has extended its publishing deal with US-based Sunflower Entertainment.

According to Billboard, the new agreement includes expanded rights in several key European territories and monetization on YouTube, Facebook, and new technology platforms. Codiscos’ catalog currently includes songs performed by Wolfine, Maelo Ruiz, Peter Manjarres, Felipe Pelaez, and Nicky Jam, among others.

Commenting on the new deal, Adriana Restrepo, Codiscos President said in a statement: “Codiscos is looking forward to work jointly with Sunflower Entertainment in this new, expanded territory deal.”

“The songs of Codiscos are a much-loved part of the Sunflower family,” added Jamar Chess, Sunflower co-founder. “Codiscos is on the pulse of the Urban scene in Medellín [Colmbia].”

Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
