Lost Neil Young, Joni Mitchell Concert Recordings From 1968 Found

ANN ARBOR, MI (CelebrityAccess) – The Michigan History Project, a not-for-profit organization that rediscovers professional-quality tapes from Ann Arbor’s Canterbury House venue, has revealed that it has located long-lost live recordings by the likes of Neil Young and Joni Mitchell that date back to 1968.

Recorded at a student ministry on the University of Michigan campus, the seven-inch reel-to-reel audio tapes also feature concerts by Tim Buckley, Odetta, David Ackles and Dave Van Ronk among others.

“We learned of the existence of the tapes about six years ago,” Michigan History Project president Alan Glenn said in a statement. “They were in the possession of a private collector. Then they disappeared, and we were afraid they were gone for good. But a few weeks ago they resurfaced, much to our surprise and relief. Now our first priority will be to get them transferred to a digital format, then make sure that the original analog tapes are safely archived.”

The Michigan History Project is currently seeking a record label interested in releasing the concerts to the general public.

Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
