AEG Buys 4 Acres In The Heart Of Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Anschutz Entertainment Group has acquired a plot of land in downtown Nashville, with plans to establish a presence in Nashville Yards, a new mixed-use entertainment district in the works for the heart of Music City.

AEG revealed that they had signed an agreement to purchase the 4-acre plot is located at 10th Avenue, Commerce Street and Ninth Avenue in the center of downtown Nashville.

The planned mixed-use entertainment district will be anchored by a 4,000-capacity music venue, a flagship Regal Cinemas luxury theatre complex, an 800-capacity live entertainment club, an approximately 240-room boutique hotel, and a variety of other entertainment and food and beverage offerings, AEG said.

AEG also noted that they have the option to acquire an adjacent 1.5-acre parcel of land that they are eyeing for development into office, residential, hotel and retail space.

AEG’s property purchases are part of the larger Nashville Yards development which is estimated to cost more than $1bn. Development for the Nashville Yards will start with the construction of a 23-story Hyatt Regency hotel building at on the former LifeWay campus downtown.

Roc Nation Sues Insurance Carrier Regarding Jordan Feldstein’s Death

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Roc Nation has reportedly filed a lawsuit against its insurance carrier and is seeking $11 million regarding the death of Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein. Roc Nation, a joint venture of Jay-Z and Live Nation Entertainment partnered with Feldstein’s Career Artist Management in 2016 and took out a “key man” life insurance policy with HCC International Insurance to protect its investment with the music manager, according to  Variety . Roc Nation claims that, after Feldstein died Dec. 22, 2017 because of a blood clot in his let, HCC was slow in evaluating the claim and finally determined the payout would $1.2 million; the policy carried a liability limit of $12.5 million, according to Roc Nation’s lawsuit.
