Ariana Grande’s Hand Tattoo Goes From Bad To Worse

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Ariana Grande made news yesterday when her new tattoo didn’t say what she thought she said; she has since returned to the tattoo shop for a repair and it apparently made things worse.

Grande is celebrating her newest single, “7 Rings,” with a kanji tattoo on her left palm. However, it was pointed out that the Japanese language on the design did not say “7 Rings” but, rather “finger” or even “small charcoal grill.”

She apparently returned to the tattoo artist who got it say “ring” instead.

“However, the kanji 指 and 輪 are split into different lines, so it looks weird,” Kotaku said. “In English, this would be like writing “rings” as “ri” and then “ngs” in another paragraph. Japanese kids are taught not to split kanji characters in school because it’s confusing. Now, you could split kanji for a stylized design, but that’s with correct Japanese, which her tattoo is not. Since the way that “seven” is written remains wrong, this is another bad kanji tattoo.”

“Rip tiny charcoal grill,” Grande wrote on Instagram. “Miss u man.”  However, the Japanese word for BBQ is still there, according to Kotaku.

The tattoo now reads “Small charcoal grill, finger heart,” according to the website.
