Tommy Lee Claims Travis Scott Swiped Astroworld Stage Set Ideas From Motley Crüe

(CelebrityAccess) — Travis Scott’s Astroworld Tour is just getting started and has been receiving glowing reviews, especially for its elaborate stage production.

Rolling Stone’s review of the tour’s Madison Square Garden show lavished praises on the production, describing it as “the greatest show in the world.”

According to Rolling Stone, the production includes two stages, a ridable rollercoaster that extends from the stage out over the audience, and an inverted Ferris Wheel that select audience members would be strapped into while Scott performs underneath the whole contraption. Impressive stuff.

But not everyone is impressed. Motley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee lashed out at Scott on social media, telling him to “lawyer up” and suggesting that Scott lifted key production concepts from Motley Crüe’s final tour in 2015.

“Just found out this fucking idiot @travisscott or someone on his team ripped off the 360 AND The Crüecifly! WTF!! Get an original idea bro,” Lee tweeted.

Lee continued, “ANNNNND not one rip off but TWO. DOPE. I get copying is a form of flattery, but this is just straight ripping off my shit. What do you guys think???”

Lee then verged into the realm of conspiracy, claiming that Las Vegas-based SPGS, the company that created Crüe’s stage setpieces, also created Scott’s stage gear.

“And the plot thickens! After I and our production crew created the 360 and Crüecifly, We hired a company called SGPS in Las Vegas to create it. WELLLLL GUESS WHO’S DOING TRAVIS’S SET DESIGN???? Fucking SGPS! So all u mothafuckas tellin me I’m not right can fuck off,” he wrote.
