Ex-GNR Manager Claims A Satanic Curse Put On Him, Axl Rose

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) And then there was the time when a satanist put a curse on Axl Rose was , or so says one of Guns N’ Roses’ former managers.

Doug Goldstein, who managed Axl Rose for 17 years, posted an upsetting tweet regarding the new GNR boxset celebrating the 30th anniversary of Appetite for Destruction. In it, GNR thanks the manager at the time, Alan Niven, which set Goldstein off.

Goldstein, tweeting to current GNR manager Fernando Lebeis, claims Niven hired a satanic specialist to put a curse on Rose and him, then mentions that he helped double the band’s royalty rate during his tenure.

One reply reads, “I really don’t know your current relationship with the band, but just to be an playing Devil’s advocate, that’s an Appetite Box Set. You were around for Use Your Illusion.”

Alternativenation.net did some research and transcribed a portion of a 2016 interview Niven did where he criticized Rose for comparing himself with Muhammad Ali and, in the process, paints himself as a god-fearing individual:

“I’m looking at what Ali stood for and what he was prepared to give up and the spirit of the man, and at the same time I’m really disappointed to see Axl playing in AC/DC and running around under a pair devil horns.

“There’s an old maxim that I’ve always tried to follow, which is: ‘Never defend the devil.’

“So why celebrate going in his footsteps? The superficial thing is that while Ali is obviously ascending his stairway to heaven, I think I’m watching Axl really unfortunately on his highway to hell, and that’s really sad to me. I always thought he was on a spiritual quest, but I don’t think it ends up with being on stage with someone like Angus Young.”
