Louis C.K.’s Comedy Performance Draws A Small Protest

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess)– The latest Louis C.K. performance at the Comedy Cellar, one of New York’s most popular comedy clubs on Monday night, was met with protestors.

According to the New York Times, two women were on hand, bearing signs, to protest Louis C.K.s planned performances at the club. Louis C.K. performed two sets in front of a sold-out crowd, including one of the final sets of the night, and was warmly greeted by most of the crowd, with only a few people opting to leave the club when he took the stage, the Times said.

As in his previous performances, the few references he made to this scandal that dethroned him as one of America’s most popular comedians, were brief.

However, that didn’t deter the two protestors, who held up signs and pleaded with the club’s patrons not attend the show.

“Frankly, I was furious,” Jennifer Boudinot, one of the protestors on hand told the Times. “Every female comedian he has harmed deserves a place on the Comedy Cellar stage one hundred times before he should be allowed back on the stage,” Boudinot added.

Louis C.K. has performed at the club on several occasions since he began to make a tentative attempt to return to the stage, but his previous shows had all been unannounced performances and his show on Monday night was advertised by the club’s street signs.
