(CelebrityAccess) — Belgian EDM festival brand Tomorrowland reported that it has suffered a data intrusion that exposed the personal information of tens of thousands of festival-goers. According to Belgian news outlet De Standaard, the hack affected an old server that contained information from ticket purchasers for a Tomorrowland event from 2014. Der Standaard reported that compromise allowed digital intruders to steal names, emails, ages, postcodes, and genders from about 64,000 of the 360,000 people who attended the festival. Debby Wilmsen, a spokesperson for the festival, told De Standaard: “The managers of the Paylogic ticketing system noticed some unusual activity on an older system. After careful analysis, it appeared that an old database from Tomorrowland 2014 was concerned. SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) Hardy Fox, 73, co-founder and composer of the influential art collective The Residents – aka, the-eyeballs-wearing-tuxedos guys, died after battling brain cancer. “Hardy no longer records anything at all,” a statement says on his website. “That era ended. Perhaps even death was not the reason. He was thinking more and more that he had completed his personal expectations.” The Residents formed in 1969, recording more than 60 records and performed in costume to hide their identities. It was only in 2015 that Fox revealed himself to be the chief composer after retiring. The band met in high school in Shreveport, La., in the early 1960s and began making homemade tapes. According to the New York Times, two women were on hand, bearing signs, to protest Louis C.K.s planned performances at the club. Louis C.K. performed two sets in front of a sold-out crowd, including one of the final sets of the night, and was warmly greeted by most of the crowd, with only a few people opting to leave the club when he took the stage, the Times said. As in his previous performances, the few references he made to this scandal that dethroned him as one of America’s most popular comedians, were brief. Spotify stock fell 4.88% on Monday to close at at $139.11, an all time end of day low for the streamer. That’s a fall of 24% in the last month.  Spotify’s market cap is now $25 billion, down 30% from a summer peak of a $198.99 per share price and $35.29 billion market cap. LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — A shooting during Halloween party at a nightclub in Riverside left seven people injured and police searching for suspects. According to the Los Angeles Times, gunfire broke out early Monday morning at Sevilla Nightclub at 3252 Mission Inn Ave during Halloween themed concert and party modeled on the horror film “The Purge.” Police told the Times that when they responded to the incident, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene. Five other people who were wounded in the shooting were treated after they arrived at local hospitals. None of the gunshot wounds were life-threatening. While a motive behind the shooting was not clear, police told the Times that the incident did not appear to be random and investigators are looking into a possible altercation between two groups at the event. ( Hypebot ) — SoundCloud has revised its Premier agreement, which artists must sign before they can monetize their music on the platform, after receiving almost universal condemnation. Like a similar free service from Spotify, SoundCloud allows Premier artists to monetize their music without going through a distributor or aggregator. But the SoundCloud Premier agreement drew criticism from multiple fronts. In the original agreement,  SoundCloud offered vague and restrictive terms, including ambiguous payment dates and percentages that could change at any time.  Artists were also forced to sign away all rights to sue the company, leaving no options to contest the deal. Music attorney Jeff Becker, who reviewed the contract for  The Verge , said it was “unusual, at best, for a platform to open their terms and conditions with a provision that requires the artist to entirely release it of all prior violations and infringements committed by that platform.” Soun...
